Maria Luisa Odriozola
Born in Hamm (Germany), German school in Madrid and Barcelona, College of Veterinary Medicine Madrid, 1993, practices in USA (Dodgeville Veterinary Center, Wisconsin) and Germany (Tierklinik in Telgte, Tierärtzliche Hochschule in Hanover).
Until the year 2000, she worked in both urban small animal clinic in Madrid, and mixed small animal and farm animal clinic in Arenas de San Pedro and Barco in Avila.
Since 2000 she works in Marbella in EquusCan.
She loves animals since she was a little girl; she has one horse, one dog and one cat, which was abandoned. But her biggest motivation is to take care of her patients, specially the young ones. Solving their problems, advising proper vaccination and nutrition are her priorities.
Her fields of interest are ultrasound and surgery.
She is responsible for all the staff, and she make sure every client is properly attended and that our 24h emergency service is effective every day of the year.
Sandy Thomas
Sandy was born in Frankfurt, Germany, she studied veterinary medicine in the College of Veterinary Medicine Córdoba. She did practices has an external resident in Angel Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, USA.
While she was still studying she started doing practices in Equuscan and since August 2006 she is a part of our team. She is doing a Master in Dentistry and Maxilofacialsurgery in the Madrid University.
At home she is never alone, nine dogs, four cats, three horses, parrots and canaries keep her in good company.
She’s bilingual German Spanish, and speaks fluently English.

Fachgebiet: Chirurgie, Ultraschalldiagnostik und Pädiatrie.
In Hamm geboren, ging ich 1974 mit meinen Eltern zurück nach Spanien, wo ich später die Deutsche Schule in Barcelona und Madrid besuchte.
In Madrid nahm ich dann das Studium der Tiermedizin auf, welches ich 1993 erfolgreich abschloss. Nach dem Studium absolvierte ich mehrere Praktika in den USA (Dodgeville vetreinary Center, Winconsin) und Deutschland (Tierklinik Telgte, Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover).
Zurück in Spanien arbeitete ich mehrere Jahre im Raum Madrid, Arenas de San Pedro und Barco de Avila. Im Jahr 2000 bin ich mit meinem Mann nach Marbella gezogen und arbeite seit dem in der Tierklinik Equus-Can.
Als Besizterin und leitende Kraft in der Klinik bemühe ich mich um einen reibungslosen Ablauf und individuelle Betreuung jedes Patienten.
Sandy Thomas: Tierärztin
Fachgebiet: Zahnmedizin.
Sandy ist in Frankfurt geboren und lebt seit ihrem 16. Lebensjahr an der Costa del Sol. Sie hat an der Universität in Córdoba das Studium der Tiermedizin erfolgreich abgeschlossen und nach dem Studium war sie als “extern” im Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, Boston, USA. Schon während des Studiums war sie öfters zum Praktikum in unserer Klinik und seit August 2006 arbeitet sie nun als Tierärztin bei uns.
Zurzeit spezialisiert sie sich auch an der Tierärztlichen Hochschule, Universität Complutense in Madrid, wo sie ein Master in Zahnmedizin absolviert.
Privat wird es ihr mit ihren 9 Hunden, 4 Katzen, 3 Pferden, mehreren Kanarienvögeln, Wellensittichen und 2 Papageien nie langweilig.
Sie spricht perfekt deustsch, spanisch und englisch.
